ETL --Extract, transform, load

In computing, extract, transform, and load (ETL) refers to a process in database usage and especially in data warehousing that:

• Extracts data from outside sources .
• Transforms it to fit operational needs, which can include quality levels
• Loads it into the end target (database, more specifically, operational data store, data mart, or data warehouse)

ETL Refers to the Methods involved in accessing and Manipulating Source data and loading it into target Data base.



The First step in ETL Process is Mapping Data Between the Source and Target Data Base .



The Second Step is Cleansing of Sourcing Data in Staging Area.



The Third Step is Transforming the Cleansed Source data and Then Loading into Target System.
